Leslie Peacock Studio
"I Don't Exaggerate...I Embellish"

PATTERN INFORMATION:

A word about Leslie’s “I’m Wearing My Quilt” © Pattern Collection.  Her patterns are designed to be the “canvas” on which artists create their own masterpieces.  The patterns are printed in three (3) size ranges – Size A (XS, S, M);  Size B (L, XL,  1X); and Size C (2X, 3X, 4X).   You are encouraged to trace the desired size on pattern paper instead of cutting the original pattern.

If you have doubts about the fit of the jacket or if you are a “between” size, it is suggested that you trace the next size larger, cut it out in muslin, baste the pieces together and try it on to see how it fits.  You can make adjustments on the muslin and it can be used as your permanent pattern for future use.

These patterns are intended for your personal use and enjoyment.  They may not be reproduced or used for any commercial means without the written consent and permission from Leslie Peacock.   All rights reserved.

FABRIC AND THREAD INFORMATION:

Leslie uses 100% cotton fabric, that also includes batiks for her base fabric.  The piecing fabrics for the most part are 100% cottons.

Leslie recommends using Bottom Line in the bobbin (for all sewing applications) and So Fine! or Masterpiece in the needle.  These threads are available through your local quilt shop or Leslie’s Studio at www.lesliepeacock.com

The decorative and embroidery thread is Hemingworth thread and can be purchased through Leslie’s studio by going to:  http://www.embroidery.com/default.asp?refer=LPSTUDIO

Madeira Supertwist Metallic Thread is available through your local quilt shop or Leslie’s Studio at www.lesliepeacock.com

Double Diamond Ruler available through your local quilt shop or Leslie’s Studio at www.lesliepeacock.com

Leslie has spent countless hours testing and using the various threads available and highly recommends using the above brands.

Her sewing machines and sergers of choice are the Baby Lock brand.

“I’m Wearing My Quilt©” Patternss

Leslie’s patterns are intended to be used as your “canvas” to create your own one of a kind wearable art jacket.  Currently, there are 3 patterns available, but more are in the works.

Each pattern contains three sizes:

              Size A Pattern:    Extra Small---Small---Medium

              Size B Pattern:     Large---Extra Large---1X

              Size C Pattern:     2X---3X---4X

These patterns are multi-sized with the different sizes indicated by the dark outline.  By tracing the desired size, you will be able to save the original pattern for future use.

Even though these patterns show specific jackets, you are encouraged to add your own design elements, trims, decorative stitches, etc., to make the jacket your own original work of art. More examples of jacket ideas to use as inspiration can be found on the Gallery page.
